Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify key indicators of the impact of social media content on the formation of spiritual, moral, and patriotic values among young people and to classify them based on the key components of the relevant types of educational activities. The object of this study is the formation of spiritual, moral, and patriotic values among young people on social media. The subject of this study is the impact of social media content on the spiritual, moral, and patriotic values of young people. Based on research conducted by JSC VTsIOM and the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as a search for community publications using relevant keywords on the social network VKontakte, current trends in changing youth values were identified and the dynamics of publication activity related to spiritual, moral, and patriotic values were examined. The use of social media content as a tool for shaping youth worldviews and values, as well as the overall dynamic digitalisation of social relations, contributes to improving the process of interaction between the state and young people by monitoring the impact of social media content on youth values. The scientific novelty of this study lies in its classification of the impact of social media content on the spiritual, moral, and patriotic values of young people based on key components of educational activities. Furthermore, the study proposed parameters for aligning educational activities conducted on social media with existing content formats provided to young people. To substantiate the impact of content posted by social media users on key components of educational activities, the development of online ethics, morality, historical memory, cultural traditions, and other components of relevant types of educational activities among young people were identified. To align current educational activities with various social media content formats, the goal of the activities was defined as improving the process of interaction between the state and young people in the area of spiritual, moral, and patriotic education by building a communication system across various areas of social regulation.
