The mission of the online academic journal the Bulletin of the Institute of Sociology (Vestnik Instituta Sotziologii) is to distribute the most relevant sociological and political studies results made by Russian scholars. No less important for the journal are publishing the articles of foreign scholars to inform the researchers about current global scientific discourse.
The articles published in the journal are generally fundamental. They raised both widely covered and not reflected in scientific literature issues. At the same time unquestioned priority are accorded to materials based on current research results reflecting social and political aspects of Russian daily life, and socio-political processes of the country and the Globe.
The Editorial team is committed to generally accepted ethical principles of publication of scientific materials and ethical principles of СОРЕ, is scrupulous about its scientific reputation, and does its best to ensure high quality of scientific publications, without changing the author's concept or violating the copyright.
A decision on any article publication is made based on the peer reviews without bias, and does not depend on the authors' citizenship, nationality, or any other personal data.
All parties that made substantial contribution in the research presented in the article and in the article preparation (data collection and analysis, article concept development and text creation) shall be indicated as co-authors of the article. Co-authors list may not include any parties that did not participate in the relevant work. If any individual provided assistance in the manuscript preparation in any way the extent of which is not sufficient for the purpose of indicating such individual as co-author (academic advisory services, technical editing, translation, proofreading, etc.), gratitude to such individual shall be expressed in a separate reference.
Co-authors shall determine the sequence of their names by themselves. The manuscript submission to the Editorial team implies that all co-authors have been familiarized with the text version submitted and all information contained therein, and agree with such. The interests of a group of authors shall be represented by one person who shall inform the remaining authors of the results of manuscript-related work.
The journal provides free of charge open access to its content.
Full-text articles and all other published materials are available at the journal’s official website immediately after its publication.
The materials published at the journal’s website permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.

The author holds the copyright and transfers to the Editorial team on a free-of-charge basis the right to publish and distribute his/her paper.
When submitting a manuscript for publication, the author guarantees that the paper is original, i.e. it has not been published previously in other books and periodicals in the current or altered form, that it has not been submitted to other editorial offices, and that all possible conflicts of interests related to copyright and publication of the paper have been resolved.
