Abstract

The article written in 1994 addresses the tendencies of transformation in the Russian political system from the viewpoint of liberal political theory. The authors claim that many authoritarian practices of today date back to earlier times. The reforms of the 90s did little to reduce the danger of authoritarian development in the Russian political system.
