Irina A. Batanina

Research interests: political sociology, political elites, regional political science. She is leading the list of research programs focused on development of modern Russian society. She is a founder of the scientific direction “Region as a Subject of Politics”. Under her leadership doctoral and candidate dissertations are carried out, monographs and articles are published. She is the author and editor of a number of textbooks. She is also an active lector. She has a number of professional government awards.
